Career Exploration Camp

We'll introduce you to various high-growth, high-demand jobs of the future in engineering, criminal justice, business, healthcare, graphic design and more. You’ll build a light bulb, visit a sheriff department, develop business strategies and learn industry professionals in these careers on a daily basis. You’ll also take a career assessment to discover what career path may be the best fit for you based on your personality and interests.

Health Care Professions Camp

In this 4-day camp, you’ll explore several high-demand health care professions like nursing/advanced practice nursing, medical laboratory science, exercise science and physical therapy. Students from our William Beaumont School of Medicine will discuss careers in medicine. And you’ll also earn CPR and AED certifications!

**Transportation for this camp is available from the OU Anton/Frankel Center in Mount Clemens to our main campus in Rochester. Drop off is 8:45 a.m. and pick-up is 3:45 p.m.

Explore exciting, in-demand careers in the fields of industrial, systems, mechanical and electrical engineering, computer science and the emerging field of alternative energy. You'll construct a solar panel and build electronic motors. And you’ll also travel to our main campus in Rochester for an alternative energy tour and visit the Clean Energy Research Center.

Investigate high-demand career options in the criminal justice field. Experience the criminal justice system first-hand with field trips to the Macomb County Sheriff Department and Macomb County Courthouse. Hear from criminal justice professionals, including speakers from the Coast Guard and Border Patrol. Discover the possibilities in the areas of law enforcement, corrections, homeland security, juvenile justice and the courts system!
