Welcome to the Department of Sociology and Anthropology
The Department of Sociology and Anthropology offers two separate majors in
sociology and anthropology leading to a Bachelor of Arts degree and a major in
social work (BSW). Students also may pursue a combined major in sociology and anthropology or a modified major in sociology and/or anthropology with a linguistics concentration. The department also offers a liberal arts minor in sociology or anthropology and a STEP sociology minor for students majoring in education. In addition, the department houses three interdisciplinary concentrations -
archaeology,
criminal justice, and
