Lecturer, Dance
Jennifer Harge is a Detroit based performing artist and educator. She is the artistic director of Harge Dance Stories, a dance collective founded in 2014. Her creative work draws from contemporary dance, African American culture, choreographies of protest, and hip hop scholarship. She has been invited to present her work at University of Michigan, Illinois State University, Saginaw Arts and Sciences Academy, Midwest RAD Festival, Pro Danza Italia, Sidewalk Festival of Performing Arts, and the Collegium for\ African Diasporic Dance Conference. Harge holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Michigan and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Iowa as a Dean’s Graduate Fellow.
