Dr. Rosemarie D’Angelo completed her bachelor’s degree in human biology at Michigan State University in 2000. She then finished her master’s degree in basic medical sciences in 2003 and her doctorate degree in cancer biology in 2008, both at Wayne State University. Her postdoctoral training was in cancer biology research, and she continues her molecular and cell research focusing on the identification and targeting of cancer stem cells and cancer cell imaging. She has peer-reviewed publications on these topics. She also has postdoctoral training in evidence-based teaching strategies. She has taught biology and health science courses at various institutions around Detroit. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two children and extended family.
