Research/Scholarship: 
Dr. D’Angelo has published translational Oncology research focused around the genomics, identification, treatment resistance, and diagnostics of biomarkers and cellular signaling pathways upregulated during cancer. She has additional postdoctoral training from the National Science Foundation program entitled First IV (Faculty Institutes for Reforming Science Teaching). As part of this program, she learned evidence-based teaching strategies in STEM education. Dr. D’Angelo co-taught a pilot service learning class on Community Based Participatory Research, the course focused around student-led research projects to help improve the Parks and Recreation Program in the city of Pontiac.

Personal Interests: 
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two children and extended family (she has five siblings). She loves teaching her kids about the world around them and every experience is new and fun: including trips to the zoo, science center, swimming in their community pool, or attending family parties.
