Biography
Dr. Caress Dean finished her bachelor’s degree in biology at Marquette University in 2009. She went on to earn her master’s in public health at the University of Missouri in 2012 and completed her doctorate degree in public health at Saint Louis University in 2015. Her areas of expertise include chronic disease prevention and management. In her research, she studies the impact of the Affordable Care Act on the utilization of cardiovascular disease preventive services. She also looks into adults’ understanding of preventive services covered by the act. In her spare time, Dr. Dean enjoys trying new foods and jogging the Clinton River Trail.
