Psi Chi is the National Honor Society in Psychology, founded in 1929 for the purpose of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship and advancing the science of psychology. To view membership requirements, go to our membership page.
The mission of the Psi Chi Chapter at Oakland University is to promote a community intellectually engaged in Psychology. This community includes Psychology majors, non-majors interested in Psychology, faculty, administration, staff, and any dysfunctional community member having an interest in Psychology.
Each academic year, the Psi Chi Chapter will facilitate activities related to this mission. These activities pertain to three areas of interest to the Oakland University community:
