Noyce Scholarship - MAT Secondary with Teacher Certification
Put your knowledge and experience to work, making a difference in middle and high school classrooms.
Oakland University is recruiting 30 science, technology, engineering and mathematics professionals interested in putting their knowledge and experience to work in middle and high school classrooms.

Thanks to an $893,000 grant administered by the National Science Foundation’s Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program, 10 students per year will be able to enroll in OU’s Master of Arts in Teaching program with their tuition and other expenses covered.  Learn more about the Noyce Scholarship, an outstanding secondary teacher certification opportunity for STEM career changers.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Endorsement

OU offers the ASD program at off-campus locations, online and on campus either as a first or second special education endorsement.

The M.Ed. in Special Education is offered at the Kent ISD in Grand Rapids

Professional Learning Communites, A Professional Recertification Option
Earn four or six credits by enrolling in this course designed especially for teachers who need credits toward professional recertification or are interested in PLCs. EL570N focuses on curriculum, instruction, assessment and DuFour's "Backward Design" model. Blended delivery combines classroom and online instruction.
