The National Career Development Association’s CDF certification is an extensive, 120-hour program.  Instruction is personalized for your work setting and taught by certified instructors.  Originating at Oakland University, the credential was developed to provide standards, training specifications and credentialing for these career providers. Individuals who successfully complete the course requirements may apply for the Global Career Development Facilitator Certificate.   
 
What is a Career Development Facilitator (CDF)?
A CDF is an individual who works in any career development setting or who incorporates career development information or skills, working with students, adults, clients, employees or the public. 

Who Should Enroll?
Individuals who provide or will provide career services in business and industry, government agencies, schools, colleges and universities such as: career coaches, HR staff, job search trainer, career resource coordinators, or workforce development staff/managers.

CDF Certificate Cost: $1,065*
Price includes the student manual, assessments, handout materials and curriculum on DVD. Tuition and the application fee are included in the cost for in-state participants enrolling in the CDF course for Oakland University graduate credit.

Non-credit Enrollment Refund Policy and Important Semester Dates
The $195 course pack is covered in the program cost and is non-refundable. The course pack includes the program binder, student manual, DVD, and assessments. Non-credit tuition refund and withdrawal dates for this session coincide with the Registrar's Important Semester Dates.  

Upcoming CDF Training: Fall 2013 in Oakland County
We are currently planning to run a CDF cohort to begin on OU's Main Campus in Rochester, MI in Fall 2013.  Please visit the "How to Register" tab or contact Abigail Bearman at bearman@oakland.edu for more information.

Current Registration Instructions
  1. Access the registration page here: oakland.edu/pace.

  2. On the right side of the screen, click on "courses." This action will open a new window on the PACE registration platform. Type "CDF" in the search box and the Macomb Winter 2013 CDF course will come up in the results.
     
  3. You will need to create a user account. Once you have created the account, you can add the course to your cart and check out! Please let me know if you have any questions regarding the registration process. Course manuals and additional materials will be distributed at your first Saturday session. 
Note: If you need to utilize third-party billing, we will need to work with you separately to create a purchase order and special registration code. You will not be registered until payment is received. Please email or call me directly so that we can get that process started for you.
