Saturday, March 26, 2011 - Annual Conference
The conference- "Leading the Way: Feminism, Education, and Social Change"-will be at the Eberhard Center at Grand Valley Sate University (GVSU) in Grand Rapids. The conference is co-sponsored by GVSU's Women and Gender Studies Program and Women's Center and will feature presentations and poster board sessions on a variety of gender women's issues from all disciplines. Susan Douglas, professor and chair of the Communication Studies program at The University of Michigan and author of "Enlightened Sexism: The Seductive Message That Feminism's Work Is Done," will be the keynote speaker. The Michigan Women's Hall of Fame
The Hall of Fame features more than 250 historical and contemporary women of Michigan who have been inducted since 1983. This permanent exhibit offers introductions to and highlights of each of these women.

"Telling Herstory since 1973"
The Michigan Women's Studies Association is an association of academic, professionals, and other interested persons dedicated to the task of upgrading and updating what is thought and taught about women in Michigan schools, colleges, and universities. MWSA is also principally engaged in the development of the Michigan Women's Historical Center and Hall of Fame in Lansing.
