OUCARES hosts Family Fun Day on March 23
OUCARES Family Fun Day

To offer an inclusive day of fun for people with autism spectrum disorders, the Joanne & Ted Lindsay Foundation Autism Outreach Services (OUCARES) is hosting its 16th annual Family Fun Day from noon-4 p.m. on Saturday March 23 at the Oakland University Recreation Center.

The event is free and open to individuals impacted by autism of all ages, as well as their families and friends. During this event, attendees are encouraged to participate in fun activities such as art projects, face paintings, bounce inflatables and a sensory room, hosted by Kaufman Children’s Center.

Swimming is also available from noon-2 p.m. and guests are asked to bring their own towels. Families can learn more information about available resources and meet with representatives from more than 20 autism-related organizations at a resource fair.

OUCARES strives to improve the quality for individuals impacted by autism, their families and the community through numerous recreational programs, camps and support services.

The event is free and open to all ages. For more information, contact the OUCARES office at (248) 370-2424 or oucares@oakland.edu.
