Virtual Advising

As the winter semester approaches, students are reminded to contact their academic adviser for help with selecting courses and staying on track to graduate. Students can connect with their adviser via email and virtual appointments.

Here are some key tips:

  • Undergraduate students can log in to MySail and find their assigned adviser right on the home screen. Under the My Details section, click the blue Adviser link on the right-hand side. A box should pop up with the advising unit and/or adviser's name along with their contact information. For additional information, visit the Find My Adviser page.

  • Undergraduate students also have access to major and career exploration resources.

  • Undergraduate students have the option to convert course grades to satisfactory/unsatisfactory for the Fall 2020 and Winter 2021 semesters. For a list of Frequently Asked Questions about this policy, view the Google Document.

  • Graduate students should contact their academic department for advising assistance.

  • All students should be aware of the different ways classes are offered. The Academic Experiences page provides information about class formats, how classes appear when registering, Frequently Asked Questions and other details.

For information about registering for classes, visit the Registrar page.
