Students, faculty, staff and community members are encouraged to meet in the lounge outside the Founders Ballrooms on the second floor of the Oakland Center on main campus at Oakland University at 5 p.m. today, March 19, for a vigil in memory of the lives lost in the mass shootings at Al Noor Mosque and the Linwood Islamic Centre in Christchurch, New Zealand, during Friday Prayer last week.

Mortimer Jr., the influential television producer who worked on hit shows, including The Beverly Hillbillies, Get Smart and Bonanza. Cardie and family recently donated the Charles G. Mortimer Jr. Film and Television Collection to OU’s Honors College.

Oakland University professors Emily Spunaugle and Megan Peiser were recently awarded the Bibliographical Society of America (BSA) and the American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies (ASECS) Fellowship for $3,000 for their project, Gender, Disability, and Finding Women in the Archives: Establishing the Provenance of the Marguerite Hicks Collection, 1660-1820.
