Hamlin Hall was the largest student residence and housed freshmen, while Vandenberg Hall gave students the option of living on coeducational floors.

This photo, circa 1977, depicts a portion of the curbside chaos that is customary for moving day.

The reported cost to live on campus in the 1977-1978 academic year was $1,548, which included room and board. Costs have changed with the times, and the construction of new residential halls for the University is on the horizon. But the comforts of campus living — steps away from classrooms, food and entertainment — have remained timeless.
