What is the OU INCubator?

Oakland University's SmartZone Business Incubator (OU INC) provides entrepreneurial resources and strategic business solutions for developing business ventures. The incubator fosters a healthy environment for the growth of new start-up companies as well as provides support for existing entities. The facility has access to university resources and offers decision support technology, business counseling services, and financial/capital acquisition assistance.

The OU INCubator is a Certified Technology Park by the state of Michigan under the auspices of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC). OU INC is part of the Great Lakes Interchange, an Oakland County Automation Alley SmartZone, where it receives tax increment finance support.
