Beginner Walk, Run or Wheel 5K Training Group
Disability Network Oakland and Macomb (DNOM) is hosting a weekly recreation group for beginners who want to take on the challenge of completing a 5K event  ̶  walking, running or wheeling. The seven-week program begins with registration and a training plan.  Meet weekly with your training group and coach, Thursdays at DNOM for approximately one hour, leading up to team participation in the Flapjack 5K on June 4, 2017 in Macomb. Participants will receive a training plan and coaching from a certified coach, and entry in the Flapjack 5K. Conflict Management in Special Education Workshop
When planning for children with special needs, it is crucial that IEP team meetings go well. This highly interactive workshop is designed to impart skills that help the IEP team effectively manage conflict prior to, during and after IEP meetings. Participants will receive a detailed participant guide, certificate of attendance as well as breakfast (am workshops only) and refreshments. Development Milestones from Birth to 5 Years

Oakland University Men's Baseball vs. Central Michigan Baseball Game 
OUCARES families and friends, come experience the first ever NCAA Division 1 baseball game at Jimmy John's Field. Individuals with autism from OUCARES programs receive free admission.  $5 general admission for friends and families. Blurring the Lines: Resources for Living an Inclusive Life
Marina Morris was born with cerebral palsy but did not allow society's perception of "disability" to define her. Marina developed five questions that help others to define who they are and tell their story.  Coined the "60 second story," Marina guides others on how to define how incredible their own personal story is simply through challenging themselves to answer five questions.
