2007-2008 COMMITTEE APPLICATIONS :

Interested in becoming an officer of the pre-dental society? Click here to download an application and instructions. This is a great way to gain leadership experience and show dental schools that you are a committed applicant. If you are interested you must attend the April 10th meeting for an informal interview. New officers will be announced that day.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

Guest Speaker: Uncle Sam (U.S. Armed Services Scholarship Presentation) - Thursday, April 5 - 12:00 to 1:30pm, in Lake Superior B of the Oakland Center (across from the bookstore). Have you heard? Dental school is insanely expensive! Not to worry though, you have a rich uncle who wants to foot the bill for you. Come listen to recruiters from the US Navy who will explain what is involved with Armed Service Scholarships. Even if you don't think you're cut out to wear a uniform, you shouldn't miss this presentation. (This meeting is being held jointly with the pre-med society.)
FREE LUNCH will be provided courtesy of the pre-dental society.

Special Event: "Our Bodies" Exhibit at the Detroit Science Center - Saturday, April 7. 10:00am at the Detroit Science Center. Parking is $6.00 per car. Exact meeting location at the Science Center will be announced soon. Please use the Message Board to arrange rides with other pre-dents.

Special Meeting: Final 2006-2007 Pre-dental Meeting - Tuesday, April 10 at 7:30pm, in Lake Superior B of the Oakland Center (across from the bookstore) . This will be our last pre-dental meeting, so we have a lot on the agenda.
- Preparation for 2007 application: We will have guests from the OU Writing Center to assist you with your personal statements. The committee and other pre-dents who have already applied to dental school will be available to help make sure you are ready to apply come mid-may.
- Committee Interviews: The 2006-2007 committee will conduct interviews for candidates who are interested in becoming officers for 2007-2008. Please click here to download an application form and instructions. Selection and announcements will be made at this meeting.
- Send off of future dentists: Finally we will be celebrating at this meeting with all the pre-dents who were accepted this year. This will also be a great opportunity to ask them about the application and interview process.
