Principal Investigator on over 30 funded research projects exceeding over several million dollars in-total: author of over 200 articles in juried professional journals; author of eight textbooks,  four of which were Awarded “Books of the Year” status by ANA.

Courses Taught:

  • WSU: Taught all 6 courses in MSN program in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing; taught 3 of the 4 core courses in PhD program in Nursing
  • UM (Ann Arbor):  Taught all 4 courses in MS in Gerontological Nursing; taught 2 of the 4 core courses in PhD program in Nursing
  • OU: Taught 2 of the 4 core courses for the DNP program in Nursing
  • As Distinguished Visiting Professor: at University of Iowa, Rutgers, Tennessee, Trinity College Cork, University of Belfast, taught, Research and Philosophic Foundations of Nursing Courses
