Ms. Beres teaches Health Assessment Lecture and Lab, Health Promotion II and is the Faculty of Record for the Basic Clinical Competencies II course.  Her area of interest is in adult health with a special focus on the older adults and vulnerable populations. Her courses include a community component which facilitates student involvement in a variety of community activities and experiences in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb Counties. She focuses on teaching the theory and the psychomotor skills for performing a physical and mental health assessment.  Ms. Beres is also a member and alternate secretary for the Undergraduate Committee on Instruction and the Undergraduate Curriculum Revision Committee as well as a member of the Executive Committee and of Sigma Theta Tau International    Honor Society of Nursing; and Vice-President/President Elect of the, Oakland University School of Nursing Chapter, Theta Psi where she coordinates both annual Inductions of new members.
