Student Resources

The School of Nursing provides resources if you're interested in learning more about MAE testing, traveling abroad or joining other students in a nursing student organization.

The community college transfer credit limit for School of Nursing students is 63 credits. Students may transfer applicable community college credits at any time during their course of study. Additional credit may be transferred from regionally accredited four-year institutions. At least 32 nursing credits must be earned at Oakland University. Contact the SON advising office for transfer information or Undergraduate Admissions for information on how to apply the the university.

The Oakland University School of Nursing Simulation Lab is a state-of-the-art facility that provides a rich experiential learning opportunity for students to integrate theory with practice. Our simulation scenarios allow students to make real-time clinical decisions in an environment that poses no risk to patients. The program promotes competency, confidence, and autonomy necessary to position our students for success upon transition to practice.
