Policy and Procedures for Nursing Laboratories

The health, safety and well-being of all who use the Oakland University School of Nursing laboratories are the primary focus of this policy. The laboratories included in this policy are the Health Assessment, Therapeutics, Community, and Simulation laboratories. All changes will be communicated to all who use the school of nursing laboratories. Communication will be maintained via the SON website, Moodle course sites, and OU email.

The guidelines set forth aim to effectively and safely reduce exposures to COVID-19 by detailing guidelines for PPE, social distancing, cleaning and disinfecting all lab areas.
