The School of Nursing at Oakland University accepts applications for part-time undergraduate nursing faculty with a minimum of a baccalaureate in nursing degree (master's preferred) and a minimum of three years of clinical nursing (RN) experience.
Clinical instructors assist nursing students to apply nursing theory and nursing interventions in the clinical setting. Each clinical setting will focus on adults, children, families or mental health. Most clinical assignments are two days a week with some rotations on the weekend. Salary ranges from $35 - $47 per hour per rotation with compensation based on experience and education. Each rotation is approximately 90 hours per semester.
Current clinical instructors find the experience to be an excellent opportunity to provide knowledge and compassion which will enhance the lives of future nursing students and the patients with whom they will come in contact.
The school offers BSN, RN/BSN degree completion and accelerated second-degree programs at the undergraduate level.
