The OUAA hosts an Alumni Awards Banquet annually, bringing together hundreds of Oakland University graduates to honor achievements in business, community service, volunteerism and more. Mixer in Macomb

Free Tickets to see the Food Network's Alton Brown
Star of "Good Eats", a show that combines "pop culture, comedy and plain good eating", the Food Network's Alton Brown will speak at Oakland University at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30 in the O'rena. 2009 OUAA Golf Challenge
Nearly 90 golfers attended the 2009 OUAA Golf Challenge on Monday, July 20. Despite a brief summer shower prior to the shotgun start, the rest of the day included sunny skies and good-natured competition between alumni and friends. Lit to Film Book Club announces new lineup
Free book – open to all! The OUAA Lit to Film Book Club will begin its new year on September 1st with a special offer – a free book to anyone interested in attending the book discussion session. The book club will view and discuss Revolutionary Road by Richard Yates. Members read the book before the meeting, and then discuss the book after watching the film. Full story >>>
OU alumni make Fortune 500 "World's Most Admired Companies" list
Two of the top five finance and accounting executives at Graybar Electric, one of Fortune magazine's "World's Most Admired Companies" earned their MBAs from Oakland. Graybar's Martin Beagen, MBA '92, vice president and controller, and Tim Carpenter, MBA '99, assistant treasurer, said their Oakland experiences were overwhelmingly positive and consider those educational experiences to be instrumental to their current success.
