The engineering partnership between OU and St. Clair County Community College was covered in the Oakland Business Review, Detroit Auto Scene and the Detroit News.

Nursing
The new OU-NMU nursing doctorate was featured in the Ontonagon Herald, Marquette Journal and the Daily Mining Gazette. Additionally, an article discussing the possibility of a partnership between OU's SON, Henry Ford Health System and Ford Motor Co. appeared in the Detroit Free Press. The program would help combat the lack of health care workers by training laid-off auto workers in nursing.

Political Pundits
Political Science Department Chair John Klemanski was quoted in the Oakland Press and the Detroit News about the upcoming primary elections. Political Science Professor Peter Trumbore was quoted in the Observer & Eccentric about the war in the Middle East. Select political science professors are now featured on OU's Political Pundits Web site,
www.oakland.edu/pundits. The Web site includes profiles and quotations that can be readily accessed and used by the media.

Nursing
A guest column by SON Dean Linda Thompson-Adams appeared in the Detroit Free Press. The column discussed the expanding role of nurse practitioners.

Culture
Chaunda Scott, associate professor of HRD and founder of Diverse Voices, was quoted in an article about comedian Dave Chappelle's influence on the issue of race.

Research
The research of Gary Shepherd, director of religious studies, and his twin brother, Gordon, was featured in an Oakland Press article.
