Macomb-OU INCubator announces opening of entrepreneurial I-Hub

Sterling Heights, Mich. – Aiming to stimulate business success by fostering an exchange of business insights, perspectives and resources between entrepreneurs, the Macomb-OU INCubator has announced the opening of its new Idea Hub (I-Hub).

Julie Gustafson, executive director of the INCubator, said the I-Hub offers its entrepreneurs an inexpensive and open environment in which to establish connections and forge valuable collaborations. Scheduled "Idea Meetups" are included with I-Hub membership.

"A lot of startups often do business in coffee shops; the I-Hub provides the perfect alternative and so much more," she explained. "We envision that, in many cases, it will also become a stepping stone for full incubation services."

In addition to connecting with fellow entrepreneurs, I-Hub members can use the building's mailing address and take advantage of Wi-Fi at no additional cost.

The I-Hub is located in the Velocity building at 6633 Eighteen Mile Road in Sterling Heights. It is open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Membership costs are $95 per month or $10 per day.

Those interested in becoming I-Hub members should contact Andrea Chom at (586) 884-9320 or email to

The Macomb-OU INCubator provides comprehensive development and support to startup and emerging businesses with a focus on the defense, homeland security, advanced manufacturing and technology sectors. For more information, visit the incubator website at
