LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES!

OU HOUSING ACADEMIC PEER MENTOR

Academic Peer Mentors serve as an academic support system for students as they face new challenges and concerns during their first year of college. Peer Mentors are trained to point first year students to faculty and other academic support professionals on campus, as well as help in the development of important study skills such as time management, reading and note-taking. Become an Academic Peer Mentor and connect with the different academic opportunities Oakland University Housing has to offer. It will make a huge difference to a new student's experience here at Oakland. Contact OU Housing for more information at housing@oakland.edu or (248) 370-3570.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS
FINANCIAL AID
Financial Aid 2010-2011 FAFSA application is now available at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Submit your 2010-2011 FAFSA on the Web Applications as soon as possible to avoid loss of aid! Also, read about the Revised FAFSA Form aiming to ease the financial aid process for students!

COMBINED REGISTRATION
We are now one week away from combined fall and winter registration. Check your advising unit walk-in hours for any last minute concerns or quick questions. Go to oakland.edu/advising for contact information. Verify your registration time and date on the Registrar's Office Web site.

MIDSEMESTER EVALUATIONS
Mid-semester evaluations for students in 100-and 200-level courses have been posted at https://sail.oakland.edu which means we now have 6 weeks left in the semester. Now is the time to meet with your professor and strategize how to successfully complete this semester!
