A female OU student has reported she was abducted from a shopping
center parking lot near Walton and Adams between 7:30 and 8 a.m. this
morning by two white male subjects driving a green van. She further
reports she was then taken a short distance away, sexually assaulted
and then released. The Oakland County Sheriff's office is
investigating. All persons should exercise caution and good judgment
when walking or driving and report any suspicious activity to local
police.

This evening, a female student was approached by a male subject who attempted to steal her purse. The victim sustained no injuries. A composite sketch of the subject is being prepared, and it will be posted by OUPD and University Housing in residence facilities on campus shortly. Anyone with information is urged to call the Oakland University Police Department (OUPD) at 911 from campus phones, or (248) 370-3333 from off-campus or cell phones.

Earlier today, the Oakland University Police Department alerted the campus community about a vague threat written on a restroom wall on campus. The OUPD has conducted extra patrols throughout the afternoon and evening class periods, and they are reporting no unusual incidents.
