Butzel Long shareholder, Jim Rosenfeld, notes that misconceptions about the law and misunderstandings about compliance often result in perennial problems and repetition of legal missteps for employers. This workshop will explore some of the most common labor and employment law mistakes, which involve wage and hour issues, discrimination statutes and recordkeeping.

Jim Rosenfeld is a shareholder practicing in Butzel Long's Detroit office. He practices in the area of labor and employment law and he serves as the manager of Butzel Long's Labor and Employment Practice Group. He has extensive experience in litigating a wide variety of labor and employment cases, including trial and appellate work in both state and federal court. He also has experience negotiating collective bargaining agreements, and handling labor arbitrations and hearings before the National Labor Relations Board.

Mr. Rosenfeld is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center (J.D., 1986) and Harvard College (A.B., 1981, magna cum laude). Mr. Rosenfeld is a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, is listed in The Best Lawyers in America in Labor and Employment and has been ranked by Chambers USA.
