MSBOA All-State Band & Orchestra Auditions

The Instrumental Music Faculty of Oakland University is pleased to provide the recordings below of the 2012 Michigan All-State Band & Orchestra Excerpts.  Our goal is to provide students and their teachers with a performance that follows, as closely as possible, the tempos provided for each piece and adheres to the musical instructions within the piece.  Knowing that music can be interpreted many different ways, these are examples that will provide you with a starting point for exploring other possibilities with your instructor.  If you do have questions regarding the interpretation, we encourage you to contact our faculty.
