Good Academic Standing

Good Academic Standing

Authorizing Body:

Curriculum Committee

Robert Noiva, Ph.D.

Date Issued:

August 1, 2011

Last Update:

February 23, 2018

Good academic standing is required for most scholarships, internship, externship, research, school-sponsored travel and class leadership opportunities.

Scope and Applicability:

All students enrolled in OUWB

Standard Practice Guideline:

Good academic standing is the designation given when a student has either received Pass, Pass with Remediation, High Pass, or Honors in all coursework. Any unremediated Fail or Incomplete on a student record in any academic year or being placed on Probation or Suspension by the SPRC will disqualify a student from being in good academic standing. In the event a student receives a grade of Incomplete that is not due to a performance failure, the student may petition the SPRC for an exception.

Students can receive a verification of Good Academic Standing from the Director of School of Medicine Records and Registration.
