Scope and Applicability:

All students enrolled in the School of Medicine

Standard Practice Guideline:

Students experiencing environmental difficulties in laboratory activities (i.e. allergies) will be referred to the School of Medicine Office of Student Affairs for initial triage. Students will follow the necessary steps to obtain disability services (refer to the School of Medicine Disabilities Accommodations guidelines).

Rationale:

To ensure the health of students and access to educational resources.

Procedures:

Students experiencing environmental difficulties or who have been previously diagnosed with environmental difficulties should schedule a meeting with the Assistant or Associate Dean for Student Affairs to review options.
