Free conference honors Michigan veterans

Veterans, spouses and family members are invited to “Soar Like an Eagle,” a free conference emphasizing inclusiveness, networking, and education on Nov. 2, at Welcome Missionary Baptist Church in Pontiac.

OUWB’s Thomas Ferrari, Ph.D., assistant professor, Foundational Medical Studies will be hosting a roundtable and Amber Gruber, D.O., family medicine, Beaumont and OUWB faculty member, will be a panelist.

The conference begins at 9 a.m. with breakfast followed by programming that includes color guard performances from local military, JROTC and the Native American veterans along with roundtable and celebrity panel discussions.

The schedule:

9 a.m.– Coffee with a Patriot
10 a.m.– Roundtable Discussions
11:30 a.m. – Celebrity Panel
12 p.m. – Luncheon & Program
