DAPCEP Medical Explorers

07/15/2019 - 07/18/2019 and 07/22/2019 - 07/26/2019

9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

This camp, co-sponsored by the Detroit Area Pre-College Engineering Program (DAPCEP), introduces middle school students to the anatomy and physiology of the human body through the hands-on activities and face-to-face interaction.

Students conduct science investigations to discover the way the environment impacts human health and the human genetic make up. This program fosters student awareness about the multiple pathways to a career in medicine and health care.

The students will also take a half-day, field trip to the OUWB Clinical Skills Center located at Beaumont Hospital, Troy.
