Project Management Principles Certificate Course

January 16 - 31:

This course is designed for experienced professionals as well as those preparing for the working world. It provides broad coverage of project management principles and best practices to help participants become leading edge project managers. The Project Management Principles and Best Practices Certificate Program is a registered education provider with the Project Management Institute. The course has one broad objective: to advance participant’s knowledge of Project Management principles and best practices. Course content will focus on:
  • PMI's ten knowledge management areas (Project Integration, Scope, Human Resource, Time, Cost, Quality, Risk, Communications, Stakeholder, and Procurement Management)
  • PMI’s 5 Process Groups (Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring and Control, and Closing)
  • The establishment of a comprehensive baseline project plan
  • Use of best practices (practical and theoretical)
  • An examination and use of a wide variety of specific project tools

Annual Collaboration for Entrepreneurship '15 (ACE'15)

The Annual Collaboration for Entrepreneurship is the place where Great Lakes region entrepreneurs gather to network, learn and connect. Each year’s ACE event, along with the year-long activities of its supporting organizations, is helping to make the Great Lakes region a better place to start and grow a business. Capital Raise Meetup

February 3, 9:30-11 a.m.

If you are a startup or early-stage growth-based business looking for funding, come meet and listen to capital expert, Mike Brennan. He will detail the various capital sources in Michigan and talk about how to properly position your company to be qualified for private funding, including private equity, the angel network and venture capital, and/or public funding, including grants, pre-seed, micro-loans and venture match.
