Make the gift of a lifetime

Your gift in support of these summer camp programs helps defray the cost for Macomb County high school students wishing to attend a summer career camp, laying the groundwork for applying to and enrolling in college. Summer career camps are one of many ways Oakland University is helping Macomb County high school students and their parents understand how to prepare for a future that includes college.

A college education provides the graduate with a lifetime of options instead of limits. High school students who have parental, school and community expectations that college is next step after high school see college as the norm. In Macomb County, only 21.8% of the population, ages 25 and higher, have attained a bachelor degree or higher. This statistic falls behind the state average of 25%.
