Black & Gold Loyalty Society
Black and Gold Loyalty Society - Recognizes Consecutive Giving
If you have given to Oakland University for three or more consecutive years, you are a member of the newly established Black and Gold Loyalty Society.
What is the Black & Gold Loyalty Society?
The Black & Gold Loyalty Society, formed in 2011, is an exclusive society for Oakland University’s most loyal donors. It honors donors who have made annual gifts for three or more consecutive years.
Who is in it?
Alumni, faculty, staff, and friends that have loyally supported Oakland for the past three or more years are all members of the Black & Gold Loyalty Society. Look for the Black & Gold Diamond in the Spring edition of the OU Magazine that indicates your membership on the Donor Honor Roll or find a complete listing of this year's loyal donors here.
Why should I join?
Each year, support by consistently committed donors strengthens our ability to create and sustain educational opportunities for our deserving students. And, there’s a great celebration event each year exclusively for members of the Black& Gold Loyalty Society!
How do I join?
Gifts of any amount to every area of the university are counted towards your membership. Consecutive years are counted by the calendar year so you have until December 31st to make your gift each year and sustain your membership.
Annual gifts can be made in many convenient ways. You can respond to direct mail appeals, make a gift through the OU Telefund Campaign or via online giving. Annual gifts can also be spread over a period of time through pledge installments. To learn about different ways to give to OU, visit the Annual Giving website.
