Living Learning Communities
|
Living Learning Communities are residential programs at Oakland University that are housed in the residence halls and are designed to facilitate maximum student involvement and interaction in specific interest areas. Utilizing faculty and staff interaction, program development and resident student involvement, each community is a partnership that provides exciting programming opportunities while delivering high-quality services to our residents. Coordination and collaboration between faculty, staff and students in the communities produce exciting and productive academic outcomes for all of the resident participants. Some of these outcomes include academic program enrichment, consistent advising opportunities, strong connections to faculty members, and an overall sense of partnership between all members of the learning community, including the faculty, staff and students.
Participation in a learning community provides a unique opportunity to enjoy the college experience while having the convenience of living on campus in a smaller community of scholars.
