Residence Halls
OU has five unique residence halls located in the heart of campus. That means everything you need -- classrooms, labs, the Rec Center, food and Kresge Library -- are all within a 10-minute walk. A sixth hall is currently in construction and will be open in September 2014.

Living in the residence halls provides the ultimate college experience: growing and learning with like-minded students in a fun yet safe environment.

Due to an almost 40 percent increase in housing rental agreements over the last four years, OU is constructing a 500-bed student housing complex slated to open in September 2014.

The $30 million facility will give residents access to a small cafe, space for student meetings, and private and group studying. The building will also become the new home of OU’s Honors College.

Please note: There will be a cost differential between the rates for existing residence halls and the rates for the new residence hall which is scheduled to open in the fall; you can assume an increase of approximately 7% above existing rates for freshman suites in the new hall, and an increase of approximately 10.5% above existing rates for the upperclassman suites. Official rates for the 2014-15 year will be approved by the Board of Directors in April 2014, and will be updated here at that time.
