Have something in your room or apartment that needs to be fixed? Mechanical problems with a washer or dryer in one of the laundry rooms or apartments? You can now submit a maintenance request online! Follow the simple directions shown below to tell University Housing Maintenance what the problem is. Please note: The maintenance staff exercises reasonable care while cleaning and
repairing rooms, but the university is not responsible for personal
items that are lost, damaged or stolen.
1. Log into your
My Housing account.
2. Click on the
Maintenance Requests link in the left-hand navigation column. The system will automatically assume that you are reporting a problem in your own room. If you would like to submit a maintenance request for a room other than your own, you may click on the link that appears under your address to do so.
3. In the
Problem Title box, write a very brief description of your problem. (Example: "Leaking Sink.")
4. From the drop down menu in the
Category box, choose the appropriate category for your problem.
5. In the
Description of Problem box, write a detailed description of your problem. BE SURE TO INCLUDE YOUR NAME AND A CONTACT NUMBER IN THE DESCRIPTION. (Example: "The sink in the left-hand bathroom has been leaking heavily for 24 hours. Please contact Jane Smith at (248) 123-4567 with questions."
6. Click the
Submit Maintenance Request button at the bottom of the page.
You can check in on the status of your request by logging back into your
My Housing account and clicking
Maintenance Requests.
