Applicants admitted to degree programs at other institutions wishing to take courses at Oakland University for purposes of credit transfer should apply as a Guest Student in one of two ways:
1. Regular Guest Student: Applicants who are admitted to degree programs at institutions other than the Michigan institutions listed below should apply using the Graduate Guest Applicant - from an institution outside of Michigan application.
Guest Students should consult their advisors at their home institutions regarding the ability to transfer specific credits to their programs.
2. Michigan Intercollegiate Graduate Studies (MIGS): Applicants admitted to degree programs at one of the Michigan institutions listed below and wishing to take courses at Oakland University for purposes of credit transfer should apply by using the Graduate Guest Applicant - from an institution in Michigan.
Enrollment for all guest students is limited to 12 credit hours.
