Stephen Dunn is the guest poet for the 2014 Maurice Brown Memorial Poetry Reading. He is the author of sixteen books of poems, including Different Hours, which won the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry. His poetry has also been recognized by the Academy Award in Literature from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, Thee National Endowment for the Arts Creative Writing Fellowships, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and the Rockefeller Foundation. C.K. Williams, commenting on Dunn's work, says "it is a poetry that probes the hidden shoals and depths of daily life, that touches into them, and with deft and warm technically brilliant voices reveals the splendors of our anguish, the wisdom of our love.
