 sis tools in preparation for the Society for Applied Investing and Financial
  Education (SAIFE) first trade competition of 2013. </p>\n<p class="Default"
 >The workshops are open to the public and will be held Thursdays, 5 to 6 p.m
 .: Jan. 10 (449H Elliott Hall); Jan. 17 and Jan. 24 (234 Elliott Hall). </p>
 \n<p class="Default">The SAIFE student organization designed to teach studen
 ts the basics of financial investing, it strives to help members avoid poten
 tially devastating financial missteps by offering them a safe way to practic
 e their new-found skills.</p>\n<p style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt;">Registra
 tion deadline for the stock competition is Feb. 10. The competition runs thr
 ough April 12. In the stock competition individual members will use a comput
 er model to make mock investments based on real stock prices. The participan
 t who realizes the highest returns at the end of each semester wins a prize.
