\nInternationally renown ed early music singer and lutenist Joel Frederiksen brings the mythical figu re of Orpheus to vivid life in a critically-acclaimed program which features repertoire from the late Renaissance and Early Baroque in England, France, and Italy. Mr. Frederiksen, who completed his master’s degree at Oakland Uni versity, was called “a uniquely gifted singer” by David Vernier on classicst oday.com. Also playing lute will be Lyle Nordstrom, one of the country’s mos t influential early music exponents, who has been a committed mentor to new generations of early music performers.
