Faculty members, student leaders and business professionals are invited to this forum to discuss and learn about the economic issues facing our nation. With a goal of facilitating a constructive dialog between forward-thinkers across disciplines, this event is geared toward developing ideas to address our nation's current economic challenges and address future economic growth.
With the Republican Presidential Debate on Oakland University's campus the following day, the location and timing is perfect for a constructive dialog on this topic.
Confirmed speakers include:
- Mark Bennett, Senior Counsel, Miller Canfield
- Sherman Folland, Professor of Economics, who specializes in health economics and related microeconomics topics
- Lou Glazer, President and Co-Founder, Michigan Future, Inc.
- Kent Roberts, Executive Director and Co-Founder, National Civility Center
- Ron Tracy, Associate Professor of Economics, whose specialties include applied economics, applied statistics, forecasting and regional economic development
- Riley Andren, Vice President of the Economic Students' Association
- Andrew Gustafsson, President of the Financial Management Organization
Student President of the Economic Students' Association and President of the Society Applied Investing and Financial Education Eric Tawney will serve as student moderator.
