Presented by Holly Brommer, Award Winning Educational Consultant and Child Advocate.

Holly is a leading child advocate and consultant for education reform in Michigan and nationally.  She will discuss 10 strategies that parents should use to increase their own confidence and influence at IEP meetings for children with ASD in elementary through high school and transitions programs.   Techniques will include (but are not limited to):

-Knowing principles & purposes of IDEA            

-Understanding the importance of data-driven IEPs

-Inviting guests to IEPs  

-Learning to write & implement SMART goals

 

 We invite anyone interested, including educatiors, advocates and social workers and strongly recommend that parents/caregivers with children with ASD, attend to learn about strategies for a successful and effective IEP meeting.
