The Oakland University community is invited to attend David Roediger's lecture, "U.S. Spring: The Freedpeople's Jubilee and the Spread of Freedom Dreams." David Roediger, guest speaker, is author of "The Wages of Whiteness: Race and the Making of the American Working Class and The Production of Difference: Race and the Management of Labor in U.S. History." This event is sponsored by the American Studies Concentration, the Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Social Work, the Department of History, Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society, and the Journal of Critical Sociology.
