Scope of Feasibility Studies

Preliminary Wind Feasibility Study for a 50kW System

The feasibility study is being offered by Entegrity Wind Systems.  This is phase one of a three phase process to install an Entegrity 50kW turbine.  A video of an actual installation near Toronto, Ontario can be seen here.  Below is the scope of this offering.

  • Site Plan:  Site survey to assess existing electrical infrastructure and determine optimal turbine location

  • Wind Resource Report:  Investment Grade wind assessment for the proposed site

  • A determination of local permitting requirements:  Permitting authority, contact info, costs and outline of basic process

  • Preliminary pro forma based on estimated installation costs

  • Single-line electrical diagram

Please fill out this Wind Study Application Form, and submit to Fran Cutler at Oakland University by May 9th for consideration in the selection of one institution to receive this valuable study free of charge.

 

Preliminary Wood Chip Boiler Feasibility Study

The feasibility study is being offered by Jim Leidel of Oakland University.  Below is the scope of this offering.

  • Site Plan:  Site survey to assess existing heating systems infrastructure and possible location of a boiler retrofit or new boiler house. 

  • Wood chip resource assessment:  Using the best available data, a review of local wood resources will be made with respect to the needs of the proposed boiler installation.

  • A determination of local permitting requirements:  Permitting authority, contact info, costs and outline of basic process

  • Preliminary pro forma based on estimated installation costs

  • A simplified schematic diagram
