The major is a minimum of 40 credits. All majors take WRT 340, WRT342, and WRT 394 comprising 12 credits. In addition, students are required to select a track from Writing for the Professions, Writing for New Media or Writing as a Discipline. The four courses within the track and two additional elective courses at the 200/300/400 level make up 24 additional credits. Finally, students must complete the capstone for a total of 40 credits. The term “elective” may not be completely “free” in that this table does not address the university requirement of having 32 credits at the 300/400 level.
Please note: Student on scholarship or financial aid must be in a minimum of 12 credits per semester
