Note: The major is a minimum of 42 credits of biology. All BA majors take BIO111, 113, 116, 315 or 325, 341, 387, 495 comprising 24 credits. In addition, students are required to select a course from each of the two primary areas of the major (Cell/Molecular/BioMedical and Systems Biology), three laboratory courses above the introductory level and two additional elective lecture courses, one of which must be at the 400 level for 18 additional credits. In addition, all students must complete 14 credits of chemistry, 10 credits of physics, 4 credits of mathematics and 4 credits of statistics. The term “elective” may not be completely “free” in that this table does not address the university requirement of having 8 classes at the 300/400 level.
Please note: Student on scholarship or financial aid must be in a minimum of 12 credits per semester
