Interns
Akosua Johnson is the Counseling Intern for the Center for Multicultural Initiatives. Her primary role includes meeting weekly with and monitoring the scholarship requirements for 40 scholarship students (OUTAS, McCree, and Compact). Ms. Johnson graduated from OU with a Bachelor's of Arts in Women and Gender Studies and a minor in Sociology. She is currently in the Master’s of Arts Counseling program and she will be graduating in the winter of 2013. Akosua has a passion to empower individuals, especially females of all ages. She is interested in teen pregnancy, domestic violence, sexism, religion, racism, gender identity and human sexuality. Ms. Johnson is very excited about her present and future success and she is extremely eager to begin her journey as an intern for CMI.
