Dr. David Lau is an associate professor in communication. He was the founding interim director for the Center For Excellence in Communication (CETL).  

His most active area of scholarship is in poetry and communication. He has sponsored several workshops on poetry and pedagogy on campus as well as for the Windsor Conference on Teaching. His teaching interests include Gender Communication, Performance Communication, Interpersonal Conflict and Community Field Experience.  

He is the coordinator of the American Sign Language Program in Communication as well as the co-facilitator for the Academic Service Learning Faculty Fellows. He also is the Program Director for the Communication Program.
